  56. Deduction is a computerized version of one player deduction. The computer
  57. generates a column of 5 colors.  Your job is to figure out the sequence
  58. in as few moves as possible.

  60. It is mouse based and runs under DOS OR Windows. All that you 
  61. need is a mouse and a vga color monitor. The game is very colorful and
  62. functions by using the mouse to push buttons and click on colors. No
  63. keyboard strokes necessary!!

  89.               For MS-DOS:
  90.                   Step 1)
  91.                 Unzip the vgaded.zip file using pkunzip.
  92.                     ( Note: AOL should automatically do this for
  93.                                         you.)
  94.                 If the zip file is not automatically unzipped
  95.                 then go to the directory where the zip file is
  96.                 and key in:       pkunzip vgaded.zip
  97.                 This should create the files listed in the

  99.                   Step 2) 
  100.                                 Key in:    dossetup
  101.                 This creates the c:\ssoftwrk directory and
  102.                                 moves the files to it.

  104.                               You can now run the program by keying in:
  105.                                      c:\ssoftwrk\vgaded.exe

  108.                   Step 1)

  118.                                 From the Program Manager Select File-Run
  119.                     Now Browse to find the dedsetup.exe file
  120.                                 included with vgaded.exe and run it.
  121.                                 This will run the Windows installation program.

  123.                 An Icon for Deduction is included as 
  124.                                 vgaded.ico
  125.                 To use it click one time on the current 
  126.                                 draw poker icon and then select File-Properties.
  127.                                 Now click the change icon button and proceed to
  128.                                 select vgaded.ico as the new icon.

  130.                               You can now run the program by double clicking
  131.                               this icon.

  150.                               Start button then Programs then Scalzi SoftWorks
  151.                               and finally the VGA Deduction icon.

  158.         These files can be deleted using Del in DOS or the
  159.         File Manager in Windows, or Explorer in Win 95:
  160.         All can be found in C:\SSOFTWRK directory.

  173.         Windows Usage         Though Deduction is a DOS program, it
  174.         -------------         may be run from within Windows.  The mouse
  175.                   stills works on the game when run 
  176.                   under windows.  Please
  177.                               refer to your Windows documentation for
  178.                               detailed help in accomplishing this.  An
  179.                               icon for Deduction has been included
  180.                               for your use.  It should be in the
  181.                               directory where memory.exe resides, and
  182.                               is called MEMVGA.ICO.
